My name is Felicia, and I am a nurse and a dog trainer. My passion has always been to help people and work with animals. I have had numerous dogs over the years and my most recent dog, Pink, is a rescue who struggles with fear, reactivity and anxiety due to her unknown past. In order to help her overcome these obstacles, I diligently worked alongside various types of trainers, apprenticed at many dog classes for several years to learn new skill and spent much time patiently teaching her that the world is safe through counter conditioning and positive reinforcement. During this time I noticed that many families and their dogs struggle with behavioral issues as well as learning basic obedience skills and are looking for the right resources to help them.

I realized I could combine my passion to help people and work with dogs and I opened, Pawsitive Expectations K9 Training. My commitment is to teach people the tools they need to teach their dogs so they can learn without using force, dominance or negative tools. I will provide an individualized assessment so that i can provide you with the most effective training solutions that will result in a trusting relationship with your dog.

I am a member of APDT(Association of Professional Dog Trainers)and PPG (Pet Professional Guild) and have certification as an Animal Reiki Practitioner. I avidly pursue ongoing educational and professional development by attending seminars and keeping current on all industry literature. In addition , I live what I preach . When not working or training, you can find me actively practicing my skills at home with my dogs,cats and even my chickens.
